Taste The Rainbow - 7 drabbles
Challenge 28 at ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
gleeverse is 'Taste the rainbow' a challenge to make 7 icons or 7 drabbles that "showcase the colo(u)rs of the rainbow" the colour are: Red, Orange, Green, Blue, Purple, Pink, and one that should encompass all colours.
I have never written proper 100 word drabbles before so i don't know how good they are!
Here are my Drabbles. They feature Artie, Brittany, Santana, bb!Brittany, bb!Santana, Mrs Pierce and Mrs Lopez.
Red – Artie
He would never admit it to anyone, especially not the people at school, but he hated the sight of blood.
It reminds him of waking up dazed and confused in the back seat of his mum’s crashed car. It was dark all around him and he couldn’t see anything for a while, but he could hear. He could hear hissing from the engine and he could hear movement. He then felt a gush of cold air as his door was opened and his mother leaned in over him. Her face was worried and she had blood running down her face.
Orange – Brittany/Santana
“What you got for lunch, Britt?”
“The best fruit ever”
Santana looked quizzical “What?”
“Orange! It’s the best fruit there is”
“No way, banana’s are the best fruit”
Brittany shook her head and reached for her orange
“Nope” she threw it in the air a little and caught it “it has its own wrapper”
“So does a banana”
“But oranges were made to share” she had taken the skin off “see” she put it on the table “mother nature divided it up so that it’s easy to share” she ripped off a segment and gave it to her BFF smiling
Green – Brittany/Santana
Santana sat up on her elbows as she lay on the grass watching her girlfriend. Brittany was oblivious as she walked around the park picking flowers.
She watched how Brittany's white sun dress blew in the soft wind and her hair softly fluttered. The pale dress and her bare feet contrasted beautifully with the fresh green grass. Santana felt like she was in heaven.
Brittany looked over and smiled brightly, then made her way back to her love with a small bunch of flowers. She knelt down next to Santana placing a small daisy in her hair behind her ear.
Blue - bb!Brittany and Mrs Pierce
Mrs Lopez had just left with Santana and Brittany was sitting on the swing in her back garden. Her mum watched her from the kitchen window just sitting there only swinging slightly with her feet staying on the ground.
The garden had been full of fun and laughter all day and now it was silent. Her daughter looked so sad now; she poured her an apple juice and took it out to Brittany.
Brittany sat looking at her bare feet wiggling all her toes
“Hey honey, you feeling a bit blue?”
“Feeling blue?........ What does blue feel like?” she wondered
Purple* – bb!Brittany and bb!Santana
“No! Get back” Santana stood in front of Brittany protecting her “I won’t let him hurt you”
Brittany grabbed at Santana’s shoulder in fright, peering over it.
“Stay here, I’ll get him” Santana said confidently, running forward, she ducked, she dived, thrashed her stick around. Falling to the ground she dropped the stick. Brittany ran and picked it up. She boldly ran forward and thrust, she waited for a moment then jumped up and down cheering. Success!
“Brittany!” she huffed “Why’d you do that? I’m the knight and you’re the Queen! I’m meant to slay the dragon to protect you!”

Pink – bb!santana and Mrs Lopez
“You’ve gotta to be kidding?” Santana asked
“No, I’m not”
“I won’t”
“You will”
“Will NOT”
“If you don’t…”
“WHAT? What you gonna do?”
“Don’t take that tone with me, young lady and don’t make a face either”
*huff*
“Don’t you want to look pretty? Brittany'll be looking pretty, do you want to be wearing jeans and a t-shirt and look like a mess, while Brittany looks pretty in a dress?”
“Brittany always looks pretty”
“What was that? I hope you aren’t trying to be smart under your breath”
“No”
“So, are you going to wear it?”
“But it’s PINK!”
All - Brittany/Santana
Brittany wondered away from Santana as she looked at jackets in one of their favourite shops. She went over to where the socks were and went straight to the pair she always went to. She reached out and softly caressed them. Santana walked up behind her and took her hand. Santana pointed to something and Brittany followed her finger to see…. nothing. She turned back to Santana who just shrugged and pulled her out of the shop.
Back in Santana’s room, Brittany sat on the bed, Santana knelt in front of her pulling out the rainbow coloured socks. Brittany beamed.
