Summary
There are three main stories this episode, Rachel gets a huge crush on Mr Schuester, the glee club are assigned to pair up and sing a ballad and Quinn’s parents find out that she is pregnant.

It is left to fate who is paired with who for the assignment. Puck chooses Mercedes, Artie chooses Quinn, Tina gets Mike, Finn gets Kurt, Santana picks Brittany and Rachel is paired with Mr Schuester, due to Matt being out of school because of a spider in his ear! To demonstrate what a ballad is Rachel and will sing Endless Love together, this causes Rachel to get a crush on Will.

Finn sings to Quinn about the baby while having dinner with her parents, leading them to throw Quinn out of the house.

Instead of all singing with their partners the glee club decide to sing a song to Finn and Quinn.




Favourite Scene
My favourite scene has to be the one at the beginning.

Will:Who knows what this word means?
Brittany:It’s a male duck




Brittany: I bet the duck’s in the hat



And also Fate choosing Santana and Brittany to be paired up! :D Even the fates know they should be together!







on a non brittany note, Rachel saying about her letter to the show choir commity also cracked me up! I quite liked season 1 Rachel, looking back




Least Favourite Scene
This has to be Finn singing to Quinn while at her house. WHY would you do that? How many times had she said she didn’t want her parents to know? How dumb is Finn, I mean really!!??!?! How did he think her parents would react? And the song is a bit rubbish too!

Favorite Song
It’s strange for me but I’m going to pick Will singing Young Girl/Don’t Stand So Close, I say it’s strange because Will is not my favourite character, but I like the song and the reaction of both Emma and Rachel to his performance. But my reaction to the performance isn’t quite the same, the jumping on the piano thing was just weird!





Least Favorite Song
This is a toss up between I’ll Stand By You and You’re Having My Baby, both are utterly cringe worthy, If I had to choose one out of the two it would probably be You’re Having My Baby, mainly because I don’t know the song at all. And for the reasons stated above.

Only 3 stars from me (and that's being generous!) The only thing making me give 3 stars is the epicness of Brittany!!

None of the stories in this are of much interest to me. I had forgotten how full on Kurt was with his crush on Finn and that it was his idea for Finn to sing to Quinn at dinner is just either extremely mean or unthought out. Rachels crush on Will is somewhat amusing and Suzy Pepper is kinda funny. Finn telling Quinns parents about the baby is just an awful thing to do and an awful storyline.

I think the episode would have been better if all of the pairings for the ballad assignment had actually sung to each other. But i suppose that is too much like fanfic!!

To demonstrate what a ballad is Rachel and will sing Endless Love together, this causes Rachel to get a crush on Will. Lol, that's very, very accurate, actually. ;D I'm sure it's his butt chin that draws her in or something.

And, yep, Finn singing to his Mac and singing to Quinn's parents -- still cringeworthy. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who feels like this. :P

I think the episode would have been better if all of the pairings for the ballad assignment had actually sung to each other. But i suppose that is too much like fanfic!! In the hands of a good fanfic writer, it could have been turned out to be a really great episode. And I agree that they should have performed the assignment as pairs. :)
