Day 8 .........snow, snow, wicked, snow!
Feb. 8th, 2007 03:30 pmWooHoo!! how pleased was I this morning to find that it had snowed last night? I gotta say snow is my favorite weather!! well except for when it turns brown and slugy :( Our garden was totally covered, i mean TOTALLY it was great :) i was less pleased with the prospect of walking down the hill to the bus stop on the icy pavement, but i can live with that, it's still great :) it was way worse trying to get UP the hill this afternoon after all the snow had been stomped on and created a very slippy covering on the pavement, but again I can forgive that!!
Now I will revert to an 11 year old and say how funny i find it that when the wicked cast went on blue peter they all got blue peter badges AND they all wore them on their costumes!! not only that, it really made me laugh that they gave Idina/Elphaba a green bagde (normally reserved for doing somthing environmental, i think) classic! I never got a blue peter badge when i was a kid, admittedly i never wrote up to the show, although i did enter a few of their drawing competitions, in fact i never knew anyone who had one. That might have been because most of the people i knew were more ITV people than BBC, but anyway!
I should probably mention, for those reading this from outside the UK, that blue peter badges were given out/sent out to kids who wrote in/went on the show/did something worthy. Everyone who goes on the show gets one, i'm sure one of the royals must have had one at one time or another and a couple of film stars. they are even better coz you can get into all sorts of places for free if you have one.
It looks like things have changed a bit since i was a kid, not only do they have the normal badge and the green badge they have 4 other kinds!!Blue Peter Badges.
