The Ooooolympics

majorrogueWe had a hilarious comentator who kept saying OOOlympic champion or OOOlympic medal when he was excited, so in my house now thats what we say 'the OOOOOlympics is over'
i probably shouldn't say that i'm glad i'm unemployed but for the last 2 weeks i've been glad i was unemployed so i be glued to the set watching Team GB smash the record for medals won! YAY go team GB!! we haven't won this many medals since 1908!! (but of course there is always some govenment arsehole who thinks we could have done better!! yeah and if the govenment gave more money, i'm sure they could have!!)
Kelly Sotherton, Heptathalete, she didn't actually win anything this time, but i liked watching her.
Victoria Pembleton, won Gold in womens sprint cycling, and she pretty!! haha
Christine Ohuruogu, won Gold in the 400m, and what a race it was, she came from like 4th or 5th in the last 100m-ish and won!! Go girl!!
Louis Smith, won a bronze on the pommel horse, we haven't won any medals on the pommel horse, EVER. Brilliant. gymnastics has to be my favorite event to watch too.
James DeGale, won Gold in boxing, i do like boxing!! and the cuban he was fighting was a stinking cheat, he bit our guy!! bit him!! thats sportsmanly conduct, then the cuban 'fans' booed during our national anthem, the bloody cheek of it!! and he seems like a really nice guy, he was interviewed in the BBC studio, and he had given the lady interviewer a rose from the flowers he was given with his medal, and he said 'well a lady as lovely as you should get flowers' or something like that but he's one of those charming down to earth men who can get away with it!!
now all we have to worry about is 2012!! it'll be good when they actually start building some of it!! I wonder if the rest of the world will be as critical of us as we all were of the chinese?
I think the whole of the countries hearts sunk about 10 minutes into the opening ceremony, how the hell are we going to match that?? i'm sure if the government, or at least the labour party keep their gruby hands out of it it will probably rock, oh and as long as paul maccartney and bob goldof and his offspring aren't involved too!!
