Im now on my way home from the BFI Merlin screening!! And it was AWESOME!!

If you are like me and want evil yes EVIL morgana then you will not be disapointed!! Her evilness is delicious!!!

Okay so now i'm back home!! I love being so close to London!! :D

So, The BFI:

- was a bit disapointed they didn't mention that there was going to be a signing, i'd have gotten there earlier!! but i got some dodgy pictures so, i don't mind so much!!

- it was running late a bit but who cares!!

-They showed to two eps as one feature length one and it was AWESOME!!

- Evil!Morgana is everything i'd hope for, evil looks, going from happy to mean, there is a part where she hugs Uther and her face!! perfect!!

- There is a sword fight, actually an epic sword fight, between Morgana and........... Merlin!! oh! the awesome epicness!!

- of course morgause is there too, being her awesome self, manipulating Cenred (or whatever his name is)

- I'm not going to spoil too much for you because there are so many epic/evil/awesome moments

- Gotta say i am a bit worried about how they are going to handle morgana through the whole season, if they start off this way, with morgana being so evil and certain people knowing about it, how are they going to keep that up??!!

- also someone asked a question or they commented really about using the word evil in relation to morgana and morgause and that it shouldn't be used or something, but i'm afraid that i WILL be using the work evil!! :D

if i think of more i'll add it (also when i take a better look at my pics an get them on my pc i may add some more!)

Edit #2 - OH MY FUCKING GOD!! I nearly forgot the MOST epic thing that they showed at the end in a 'trailer' for the rest of the season, EPIC AWESOME SPOILER: Morgana sitting on the thrown with a crown!!!! OH YES!!!! i have no idea what may happen and i don't much care as long as it's epic!!

also in the trailer was...... the lady in the lake!! as in the sword coming out of the lake in a hand!!!

Edit #3: The Red Cloak Of Awesome returns too! :D and we also see the Purple Cloak Of Loveliness too!!, loads of Cloak!porn in these eps!!

They didn't use the part where we see Morgana wrapped in a Camelot cloak!! was that meant to be in this ep??!! if it was they cut it :(

and talking of Camelot cloaks, they had some of the costumes there too! the cloaks were pretty awesome. They had Morgana's season 1 purple flowing dress there too and a Knight of Madiera (or whatever they were called!!) I love stuff like that :D

yes another edit (#4): Ygraine is in there too!! although she is mainly just crying/screaming/pleading 'Please' at crazy Uther and she is drenched like the little blue eyed child in promo's, It's actually quite sad concidering how lovely and ethereal she was in Sins of The Father :( ,they also show her hand on which she has a ring that looks to me to be alot like Athur's ring!!!

the only one that i can think of in the ep was a part where Gwen came into Morgana's chamber and offered, kind of, to help her get ready for bed and morgana was all like, i can do it myself, that'll be all! and gwen gives her a why you being nasty look and leaves!!

it's a bit sad coz Morgana shouldn't really have anything against Gwen! but in the trailer at the end Gwen talks to..... can't remember who and says that Morgana has changed and means them harm or something like that!!

I'm not uncomfortable with putting stuff up, i just don't want to ruin everything!!! :) but ask away if you want! :)

In the trailer clip at the end they did show lancelot and he was mentioned to be coming back as a guest star.

Is Gawaine the shirtless guy in the SDCC trailer? if so they showed the same clips i think, and i dont think he was mentioned.

Angel was asked about Gwen this season and she said that her brother was coming into it and that she had received a script today that was a two parter that she kind of made sound like it might be a gwen centric one, but that could just be my interpritation of what she said. she did say that she hadn't read it yet though!

All i can remember was just a quick glimpse of Lancelot, his hair seemed shorter to me!! but that all i can remember seeing!!

Any recollection as to the Gwen/Arthur scenes in the episodes? Were they on the castle walls or what? What did they discuss?

there was a great scene with them both where gwen gives Arthur a bit of a pep talk saying he great king ( i think that was gwen anyway, Merlin did the same kind of thing so i might be getting them confused!!) and they kind of stare at each other for a while and you think he might kiss her but they don't, she goes to walk out and say something and then 'sire' and he says 'there's no need to call me that' and she says 'there is every need, sire' It's a good little scene, and there is more said before but i can't rememberit all!! And all of that was in his chambers, i think, it wasn't outside though!


And just thinking about it there was another scene with Gwen amd Morgana, where Morgana was looking out of her window at Merlin and arthur and Gwen says something but M is distracted then she snaps out of it and says she was just thinking about what to wear (which got a laugh, especially after all that had happened!) and then M says she has to get dressed and walks off and Gwen gives a worried look!!

The scene with A/G sounds great, although yeah, Gwen/Morgana = heartbreak. But it seems like there will be at least scenes with them, thank goodness. I will take what I can get.

It is! Their friendship was one of the main things that attracted me to this show in the first place. =/ At least, though, it seems we get to actually see their relationship deterioate (as heartbreaking as it is), rather than a sudden, off-screen break (like series 2).

It seems to me that Gwen still cares about Morgana but M is more concerned with carrying out the plan and the fact that Merlin is still alive! I should say that the first G/M scene also involved Morgana trying to cover the fact that she had been out of the castle and.........Spoiler(??) killed a guard (or at least thought she had!!!) 0_0

Thanks so much for this report! The deterioration of the Gwen/Morgana friendship saddens me, but I'm looking forward to Morgana being dynamic and forceful and confident again, and I'm definitely looking forward to more Morgause, and Morgana/Morgause interactions.

This seems like the season of shit getting real, and I cannot wait!

I don't know if I'm as impressed with this as you guys are. The main reason is because it makes no sense on some levels. Such as her pure hatred (it would seem through spoilers) of Gwen. I think it's this element that I find annoying and senseless. Yet it's been said she cares for Arthur and even her dislike of Uther is not even really at the same level of her utter disdain towards Gwen. If the story had her disliking most everyone on the same level---okay. But Gwen has never done a thing towards Gwen to garner such actions, if the pan out as the rumors say.
